Does Fulshear Youth Soccer have registration boundaries?
Fulshear Youth Soccer welcomes all kids who want to play soccer, regardless of location.
Is FYS co-ed?
FYS is not co-ed for players ages 7 and up. Players are separated into boys' or girls' divisions to ensure proper skill development.
How old do my kids need to be to play?
Children must be between 3 and 17 years old as of August 1 2026.
Can my child play in a lower division?
No, but your child may play in a higher division if they wish.
Can I request a friend, sibling, or specific coach?
Yes, soccer is funner with friends! However, not all requests can be fulfilled.
Can I register my team?
Yes, full teams, or small groups can register as individuals with Friend and Coach Requests. However, all rosters must be approved by the league to help ensure proper balance and parity.
Can I register my club/select team?
No, the Recreational League is recreational soccer and does not allow participation of club or select teams.
Are the coaches trained and trustworthy?
Yes, all FYS coaches, youth or adult, must pass a rigorous background check, complete FYS training courses and become US Soccer Certified.
Can I coach my child's team?
Yes. Parents are welcome to coach, provided they meet FYS’s coaching standards and training requirements. You can begin an application to coach on our Get Involved page.
Will my child be placed on a team in our area?
We do our best to roster players with their zoned-to school in mind, so it’s very likely they will be on a local team.
When do matches take place?
Matches are held on Saturdays at our North location, Eagle Landing Park.
Where do teams train and how often?
Practices for the Grade Level divisions are centralized at our south fields, unless a parent coach opts for a different location. Practices can be held anytime between 5:00-8:00 PM. FYS does our best to choose convenient weeknight schedules, but it's up to parents to ensure their player can attend.
How long is the season?
Each season is 12 weeks long, which includes weekly training, 8 regular-season games, a league tournament, and an all-star tournament if selected.
Whats an All-Star Tournament?
Following the League Tournament, selected players participate in an a tournament against competitive soccer clubs from across South Texas. (ages u8 and up)
Is there a wait list after registration closes?
Yes. The wait list is free and operates on a first-come, first-served basis.
Are there sibling discounts?
Yes, Sibling discounts are applied automatically during checkout.
Does FYS have a refund policy?
Yes, full refunds (minus transaction fees) are provided until seasonal registration closes. Contact league@fulshearsoccer.com for more information.
What equipment do we need to purchase?
Players will need shin guards, a soccer ball, soccer cleats, and a water bottle.
What equipment does the league provide?
FYS provides each athlete with a full uniform kit, including a jersey, shorts, and socks.
Can spectators be ejected?
Yes, Fulshear Youth Soccer takes spectator behavior seriously. Inappropriate spectator conduct may result in ejection and further disciplinary action, including permanent suspension. Please report any incidents to compliance@fulshearsoccer.com.
What happens if a referee makes a bad call?
Our referees are US Soccer Certified, however mistakes happen in all levels of sport. Spectators must accept that referees are human and imperfect.
Am I able to speak with the ref?
No, only head coaches and team captains may address referees. Spectators may direct any concerns to their coach, or appropriate coordinator. Remember, all on-field calls are final and there are no replays or reversals.
